I have a similar problem, except that mine will on occasion drop back to something that looks correct after running for a while. Whacking the dash will sometimes get it to do this, too.

I also discovered the pulse. :)

My flexprint seems to maybe be defective right there at the tach, but I haven't messed with it for fear of wrecking other things.
