Subject: removing piston pins from 2.1L waterboxer
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I am having trouble removing the piston (wrist) pins on the flywheel side (cyclinders 1 and 3) of a 2.1 L waterboxer. Last time I did it, I made a tool out of "all thread" but this time, I can't figure out how to remove the circlip from pins 1 and 3 nor how to remove them w/o the special tool listed in Bentley. Any thoughts? Tom Runyon 87 syncro 85 Westy (awaiting engine that I am rebuilding)
