The remote is definately a good idea. A set of pre-amp
outputs are helpful when adding equalizers, processors
and amplifiers.

I'm an Infinity speaker fan, so I like the first two
choices. If you use the 4" variety, I would install
some in-line bass-blockers.

If you use these passive subs, you will need an
amplifier and an enclosure for them. An amplified
subwoofer like a Bazooka BassTube or an Infinity
BassLink would also work.

If the Sony unit puts out at least 30W per channel,
you shouldn't need an amp for the main speakers. If
you don't have enough power, you can always add the
amp later.

If you want it done right, do it yourself. If you
choose to use a pro, look at some of his low-end
installations before making a decision.

Best Buy (they install too), Circuit City, ebaY,
Crutchfield...if you use a pro, you might want to buy
the equipment through him.
