European method -- when you park beside the road, you engage the turn signal to light the marker lights on the side nearest the road. Most US Vgons not wired that way.

For the headlight buzzerl, you need a buzzer with a diode in it -- RS sells a nice low-pitched (300-Hz) one for a couple bucks. Hook the red end to the parking light circuit, and the black end to some line that switches on with the ignition. Result is the buzzer will buzz if the headlights are on but the ignition is not. Very easy.

Could do another one (or even a bit of diode logic and one buzzer) for the turn signals.
