Thanks to all for the advice on the leaking coolant. Indeed it was a cracked coolant level sensor. I had replaced the reservoir earlier in the year when doing the water pump, and reused the sensor, since the replacement reservoir only came with the pressure cap. Ordered a new sensor last night through Ken at Vanagain.com and it should be here tomorrow. Additionally a public word of thanks to Ken for calling me up this morning (happened to be home with a sick child) and inquiring about my recent posts on the ballast resistor for the cooling fan. He walked me through the testing of the temp sensor that screws into the radiator and it seems to be fine (only high speed obtainable from jumping the terminals), so he is including a resistor in my order. Ken runs a fine company down there in southern NJ and he's got my vote for being most in tune with his customer's needs, as well as prompt, courteous, reachable... (tell me when to stop)...price competitive... Thanks Ken
