There are springs and cables that assist in lifting the pop top now. The
springs are probably shot. They can be shimmed to increase the pressure.
The springs are still available at the dealer.

Has anyone tried to retrofit struts to the lifting mechanism of the
pop-top
as an assist. When I have anything on the roof rack it is difficult to

up.
