Thanks for the very informative information on this common problem. It happens on our 88, but not our 85. It is VERY annoying, because it usually goes on when we're in the middle of nowhere - on a long trip like you say. We've finally come to realize that it doesn't really mean something bad has happened, because as soon as we turn the engine off and then restart it, the light doesn't come on again.
