here is an idea i you might want to try if you have a wolfsburg or carat or regular GL. if you have a wolfsburg or carat, or regular GL, when you open the rear hatch or sliding door, all the dome lights come on.. for those times when you dont want the dome lights to come on when you open the slider or hatch, but do want them to come on when you open the drivers or pass front doors, you might want to do what i did..i removed the screw that holds the door light switch contacts in.. then i took a little piece of metal from a L strap hinge or door brace (avail at any hardware store) and cut it so that there is a small hole in it plus a section that would cover over the switch tab. then i screwed it back in w/ a longer screw, and moved the metal tab so it holds the door switch contact down.. so when you open the door or hatch - the switch stays off. with a simple turn of this tab, it comes on.. its alot easier than turning 3 or 4 (i added one over my front pass door) dome lights on and off all the time..
