I have a '90 Westy since new, and since I am usually the sole occupant, besides a big black Lab who eats on the floor or outside, I do not use the front table. Since it is smaller than the rear table, I swapped it to there and use it to prepare meals and then sit behind and eat them or read or write. The arm for the front table can be swung behind the driver's seat after removing the top and the top can store there as well. I have converted the front arm to hold a Coleman catalytic heater for cooler camping trips. I would not buy one, but the original idea was as a table for the front seats when they are swiveled around. The driver's seat only swivels part way due to the steering wheel.
