OK - I know nobody actually uses this tool to tension their timing belts, but... I've managed to acquire one, and I'd like to use it! Does anyone know how? The Bentley calls for 12-13 index marks. I'm imagining I put the tool on the belt, then turn the tensioner until the gauge reads 12-13 marks. But what about the rotating knob on the tool? How to I zero it or calibrate it prior to use? Or maybe I'm missing the point entirely! TIA, Doug Fitz-Randolph Freeport, ME |
