Subject: Un-even idle and failing Inspection

Good morning all. The problem I'm experencing is a very uneven idle. I seems to "lope"

Also, it failed inspection yesterday, HC Hydrocarbon was 840 PPM instead of the allowable 220 PPM.

It is a new 1.9 motor, all new vacume lines, injectors, O2 sensor, plugs and wires. I did have to time it almost 15 degree advance to achive some form of smoothness.

A friend suggested that is sounds like a vacume leak.

any idea of where to look..
