I had the tow loop break. That is why I went through the trouble of designing the hitch that I sell.

ive never seen a tow loop break. you'll blow your motor before you break one. besides pulling anything over 1500-2000 lbs (which is what these hitches are rated) with a vanagon is rather insane.
