Thanks to the quick responses I got that allayed my fears, I grounded my 85's engine and a few other wires to the coil bracket bolt and it seems to be running fine. It was tight getting enough thread to grab due to the extra pieces on the bolt, so I will get a longer one today or tomorrow.

So now I have another, known good ECU in the van, and will see how it runs with it.

Maybe one of them will become part of a digitool soon.
