There have been many strings on the merits of different types of shocks, and there are many differing opinions about the ride characteristics given by some of the shocks.

About two weeks ago, I searched something simple like "replace shocks" in the "for" window, that is the first black window at the top of the archive search page. Did about two years at a time and went back to about 96. That will give you enough threads to get the general idea. You probably can get enough information if you only search back about 3 or 4 years as the opinions have remained similar over the years.

It ends up being a choice based on ride characteristics and $$$.
