Subject: Goldie passed inspection . On The Road !!

I'm now good to go !!!

I pick up tags at lunch.. here's the final touches that got me running correctly:

Passed emissions w/ 34 ppm HC, 220 the limit, last inspection I had 880 ppm..

What it needed:

Removed braided ground straps and replaced them w/ 4 awg insulated battery cables. Grounded left side head to chassis, as well as head to forward frame ground with tranny ground.

Degreased air intake monitor, cleaned temp sensor in intake. Flapper valves cleaned. Timing at spec 5 ATDC, idle @ 900 rpm.

Major lesson learned: Always remember to remove all your tools. Something about a 7 mm socket inside the throttle body can play hell w/ your idle, let alone the dame it could have inflicted if sucked into the heads.

Stoopid is as stoopid does !
