errrr... I would have to disagree with that Mark.  I let my Westy sit for a
year while
waited to rebuild the engine [ with just dry gas added ]. Once i finished
the installation
 - I was dismayed to find the engine would barely run. Once I removed the
full tank of
gas [ what do you do with approx. 14 of old gas?] and refilled the tank -
the engine did
a complete 180 and ran fine.  I am now a big proponent of fuel stabilizer
when i
put my camper up for storage in November.

I still can't believe I got a SPEEDING ticket in my Westy.
15 years of Scirocco's, GTI's, TurboGolfs and a G20 and I get
a ticket in the 90 hp Camper.[ ! ] jeeesh.....

        Automotive gas is very stable and does not need additives for winter
storage. More importantly you should fill the tank completely, this will
keep condensation from occuring in the tank which is where the water comes
