Ok, so the final drive oil is fine, but I think I misrepresented the problem in my earlier post. In talking to my wife she says it is more of a situation where the van is unable to get out of 1st gear. The RPM's are up there, the speed is maybe 20 mphish, but the van won't shift. So when my wife pulled over today (this happened on Monday afternoon and on Saturday afternoon, both times where the van had been sitting for a 24 -48 hr period) she just let it idle by the side of the road and when she got back onto the road (speed limit 40 mph) the van shifted fine. I haven't been able to get the van to duplicate the problem, guess I'll have to try it tomorrow after the van has sat overnight. Sounds more like a AT problem?
