Hello All -

I am slowly reconditioning my '90 Carat. Next project is the alloys. What is the best way to paint them (sand blast, then enamel, clear coat or powder coating or what?) I am also going to be getting a set of new tires.

Would it make sense to have the rims painted with the old tires on and then have the new tires mounted after the paint job? That way I wouldn't have to put the bus up on blocks, take off the rims, and be w/o a car for however long it takes to paint them, and go through all that hassel. I could just drive it there and I wouldn't worry about over-spray on the rubber since it is being replaced.

Any logistics advise would be great.

Thanks,

Scott K.
