Subject: Photo 12 foot paper rolls in a Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Hello all

I know that the absolute vast majority of people on this won't really care about this, but I thought it should get added to the archives, just in case anyone does a very specific search in the future.

It is easy to carry 12 foot long rolls of photo studio seamless paper in a Westy. Turn the passenger seat 90 degrees sideways and they fit like a charm. For safety, turn the passenger seat back towards the driver. That way the rolls are held in place and won't drift into the driver when making those tight right hand turns. I assume other 12 foot long items would also fit. Load other items first as the rolls block access through the side door.

For those of you who are curious, these are the rolls of paper that some photographers use as a background in their studios. If anyone is really really curious pmail me and I should be able to dig up some digital images of them in action. Before acquiring my 1980 Westy, I had to wait for a non-rainy day (in Vancouver BC that leaves out most of the fall and winter) and carry them poking up through the sunroof on my Toyota.

Now I just have to find a place to store the rolls, as I can't seem to get them into the condo. The condo is a loft, lots of storage space, but the elevator and stairs are not quite big enough.

Thanks
