I had the same problem with my '87 Syncro. It started with momentary cut outs and then progressed to complete cut outs or loss of power. The engine would just shut off like someone pulled the plug. It would then start right up again.After many frustrating hours of trouble shooting and the local dealer failing to Diagnose the problem, I found out it was the ECU. I tried another ECU out of a friends Syncro and the problem went away. Yes, I gave it back, reluctantly. Joe in NH, still looking for a Syncro GL
