Subject: Who works on your Vanagon? For the very reasons you cited I do all the work on my Vanagon, with the exception of wheel alignment and wheel balancing. I took it upon myself to learn how to work on cars and thanks to the Vanagon list (www.vanagon.com) I can keep my Westfalia on the road. I would highly recommend joining the Vanagon email list and getting to know a few folks near the area where you live. They may be able to recommend a few good shops for you too. By the way, Vanagons require 4-wheel alignment, despite what the Sears "technician" may tell you. ;-) Chris S. '85 Westy www.knology.net/~vw/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wolfsburg_campers |
