Greetings Volks, A promised report on water pump replacement. 5 hr. start to finish. 4 scraped knuckles and $70.00 later cooling system fulshed, drained, filled flushed till clear, drained, pumped replaced then filled and bled. At least I had clean water driping on me insted of coolant. I used prestone straight up. Where there is water there will be corrosion on the advice of my local guru who has 50+ years air cooled experience. My level sensor never did work so no big deal I had more important things to spend time on The one useful tool I had was a set of short wrenches (not wenches) that I borrowed. It seems that the pump had been off and regular bolts used in place of Allen hex bolts. A minor P. I. T. A. As to air getting into the system, we will see
