Subject: Need help with shift linkage (5spd)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

I'm trying to assemble the linkage to a 5spd 094 transmission but can't figure out where two parts go.

If you look at the diagram in Bentley, on page 34.10 under the gearshift lever there is a spring and ball shown directly underneath - but I can't for the life of me figure out where they go. If you placed them as shown in the diagram, the parts would simply fall out.

Has anyone done this and know where they go?

thanks,

Todd '88 Westy
