Jim: Perhaps I mis-understood, but if by using "prestone straight up", you mean you didn't mix it 50-50 with water, then you did a bad thing. Antifreeze is designed to be mixed equally with water for maximum temperature protection. And why do you believe that a "local guru who has 50+ years of air cooled experience" can competently advise you about your water-cooled engine's needs (even if it's based on an air-cooled) ?
