Well, I can't count myself as an expert, but with all the trouble I've
been through with my "new" diesel, let me tell you to spend the $10 and
replace the thermostat if there's any question that it's bad. See my
post from yesterday about how to do it without draining the coolant and
bleeding...

Then see if you need all that expensive stuff. You probably would get a
lot of other symptoms if you needed heads. And changing coolant won't
help anything.
