Hi,

I replaced my master cylinder recently.

I have an air compressor, and an old resevoir cap with a air hose attachment. 15PSI from the hose into the resevoir works pretty well.

I think the concern with the foot pedal method is "priming" the master cylinder. Without any juice, it won't push out the old.

I've probably not helped you, but good luck anyway.
