I have postponed my complaint (1500 miles on them on my '87 Westy) about the LTX until someone else mentioned them on List... All,

I had the opportunity to avail myself of Stephens genuine and warm hospitality over the last week, and want to publicly thank him, his wife Coleen, and his sons for showing the true spirit of Vanagonism!

Besides the thank you, I'd like to comment that I have driven one V'gon or another for over a half-million miles, and his new LTX tires are noisier than any other tires I have used - most likely by double!!

He obtained them from Sears - is it possible that the Sears tire is not the same as that available, by the same name, through other channels? I advised him to return them as they are totally unacceptable.

Karl Wolz

I have a MAJOR problem in that they are really noisy! After 30 MPH they emit the sound of a thousand bees. Anyone else have this problem? Just wondering.
