"Doktor Tim" says: > Will Sierra hurt my car????? I don't know. I don't know means the only way > to know is run the experiment. Not scientific by any means, but, I used sierra in my '84 for 8 years while in Hawaii and never developed any leaks. I have no idea what was in it when I got it, but it was green. After I got to Maine, I had to replace one of the heads due to a crack between the valve seats that was big enough to allow compustion gasses into the coolant and didn't find a great deal of corrosion at the gasket surfaces. I did, however, change the coolant every year (still do ... but I'm now using non-phosphate EG green stuff). Mike '84 GL 7 pass '85 GL Westy |
