Yes I learned some time ago that not admitting your mistakes is, well, just another mistake :) In the words of Saffire-The Uppity Blues Women, "you got to fess up when you mess up."

I am going to look again for the temp sensor and hopefully find it this evening after work. I will most likely post more questions tomorrow. Oh well, I am learning something new every time I work on the van and I enjoy it.

I am glad, you grown up enough to admit wrong. The sensor is the same what you bought and is located on the left side, on the cylinder head, on the #3 cylinder, on the left of the intake manifold, right in the corner, not the best place to work at. Needs patience. You can still just take off the wire and see if the new one does help or not. You can warm up the new one, when the engine is hot enough, with a lighter or put it in hot water.
