Yes. But since it's on a part of the engine that faces the side of the engine bay it can be hard to spot. It's towards the back, as I recall. If you have trouble, try using a mirror, or find the wire and then follow it. The last aircooled I worked on was in a '75 bus, so I'm not sure if there's anything new in the way on the Vanagon. I don't think the sensor location changed, though. (Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm leading you in the wrong direction.)

Fair enough. I think if you look very closely you'll see that the oil pressure sender has a small hole in the business end. Easy to miss, though. I had a heck of a time finding some of these parts at first, too.
