I got lucky with this problem and cleaned the electrical connections (which were covered with calcium or similar deposit) at the connector plug on top of the coolant overflow tank. This is the electrical plug that plugs to what must be either a low coolant level sensor in the overflow tank or a low pressure sensor.

I cleaned the connections and plugged the connector back on and the problem was solved.

If you're not this lucky, you could need a new cap on the overflow tank--as your's might have a pressure leak. Or you could have a short circuit somewhere. I'll defer to someone else on the list in these catagories as I don't have too much knowledge.

<< Okay guys, I now that this probably isn't too big a deal, but sometimes when I start my car, the coolant light stays flashing for a while---it used to be worse, staying on sometimes for as long as 20 minutes. The car doesn't get hot faster than normal or anything, and my coolant level is fine. It seems like the sensor is just getting "stuck" occasionally. Any quick remedy for this? >>
