Subject:      Troubleshooting Westy water level indicator

Anybody know anything about these things? The body of the water tank is
perforated in four places, wherein is screwed respectively some kind of
conductive lump on the inside and a male spade connector on the
outside. To the spade connectors are four mating connectors that come
off the wiring harness. Obviously the respective circuits created among
the conductive lumps on the inside of the tank correspond to a series
of LEDs on a remote panel.

Listmember David Brodbeck was kind enough to share with me what the
wiring harness situation is respective to the spade connectors, top to
bottom:

The two green wires attach to the top one,
Next is yellow,
Next is white,
Bottom is black.

All the other LEDs (fridge pilot and battery strength indicators) work
fine. What am I missing here? Is there something I should look for? Do
these just die after a while, or should be be expected to still work
after 20 years?

If they are troublesome, has anyone replaced them with any other level
indicator, and if so, what?
