Oooh, is this stuff back again? The first time I heard about this "ferro-fluid" goop that could be liquid or "solid" depending on a magnetic field was in the late 70's.

At the time it was hyped as a BIG deal, it was going to revolutionize the way automatic transmissions work, replace mechanical clutches on manual transmissions, get rid of your acne, clean the stains off the front of your mistress's dress and all kinds of other wonderful things.

Now 25 years later it's back again, eh? Wonder if they've got it figured out yet....
