Re: weird power at speed under load fluctuation thingy

I just got back from a show about 3 or so hours each way. In my '85 I definitely need to have momentum to be able to get up a hill. Once the engine gets "bogged down" I (and drivers behind me) have to be patient. This was true in my 1500 single port (65 bus) as well. And in fact, these are the same hills I used to travel around some 20 years ago. Get below some RPM threshold (feels like 1800) and I've lost it until I can get over the hill. If I had room to accelerate and could keep my RPMs up, the hill was easy-as-pie. Granted, the 1.9 has "a little" more power up a hill than my '65 did, but it sure did feel the same - and the drivers behind me were just as annoyed with the whole ordeal as I remember them being many years ago.
