I just pulled the fan from an '86GL wo A/C... it's the small fan.

All A/C equipped 2.1 models have the larger fan and need the external resistor. Syncros without A/C also have the larger fan and external resistor but a different part number resistor. I don't know if any 2wd models without A/C had it also but the Bentley diagrams make it seem that they don't.

Do any list members have 86 and newer 2wd models without A/C and know which type of fan they have?
