I recently replaced my broken window cranks with some "disco-style" VW aftermarket ones. They are chrome with three round holes in the lever, the knob is black and they attach with an allen bolt and match aboslutely nothing in my Vanagon's interior. Any purveyor of VW parts should carry these. They are ugly enough not to have sold very well, and made well enough to make these eyesores worth the $7 I paid for the pair. Here's a pic: http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/i/00/c8/97/14_1.JPG

Call 1-888-VW-PARTS and ask Marcus to send you a pair.
