Well..., I replaced the temp head sensor, it was not expensive and my neighbors still on vacation so no ohmmeter today. An interesting note, the old sensor took a 24mm socket the new one was a 13mm.

Now I have two problems, of course.

The first one: it still won't start when its hot with the same symptoms as before. Which perfectly match the descriptions of the function of the temp sensor. i.e.- acts like it's flooded but I do not smell fuel.

The second one: the oil pressure idiot light stays lit all the time now. Yes, I checked the oil, many times. The idiot light spooks me and I shut her down as soon as I saw it. Checked the oil. Started her again, still the light, let it run for a short period. Checked the oil. Started her again and let her warm up. Still the light.

Anybody got any advice on how to start troubleshooting from here?
