Any vendor will do (Bus Depot, Vanagain, Volks Cafe ...) but get a new
German made water pump.  Remans are just not worth the trouble to install.
A shop here in Houston installed a reman on my '85 that lasted all of 8,000
miles before the bearings gave out and it sounded like I was pushing gravel
through the pump.

Could be that when you installed the new engine you added a bit of extra
tension or deflection on the belt and that started the premature wear on the
pump.
