On a Syncro, 215/75/15 fit fine without spacers using the Audi Turbo wheels. I ran these for years on my 87. The spacers are needed in the front so the center hole of the rim will clear the cenetering ring. If you machine the rims slightly no spacers are needed at all and that is how mine were. On Syncros is what I am talking about. These wheels don't fit 2wd models without more machine work along with thicker spacers up front. Mark Benjamin E.
