I am not an electrical guru, so I can't tell you if this would work of of a battery inverter setup... but my hunch is no. That said, while at Westies at Watkins I brought a full sized kitchen microwave because I could not get my propane tank to fill. I sat it right on top of the closed stove lid and it fit very well. We were plugged into "shore power" so we didn't have to worry about draining the battery. The only glitch was when we tried to run the electric parabolic heater (1500 watts) and the microwave together... that tripped the breaker inside the van.
