Asking to take the auction off e-bay is also a strong sign of a scam artist. A guy on a cycling forum i am on makes it a daily habit of closing down at least 1 (although usually 5-ish) auctions from scam artists... that is a LOT of scams! Typical things to watch out for include: 1) nothing remotely related to what he is currently selling (ie. 20 dolls) 2) keeps bid history/ID secret 3) wants to take bid off e-bay 4) usually wants to be paid through something like western union 5) e-mail address and e-bay account are under different names On the bike auctions, the bidder always has everything you could possibly want, and for a rediculously low price. The guy is a schmuck, he knows it, and he likes it... You gotta spend a little time trying to find a way to stop him. -Damon
