My dad needs to part with his '86 Westy. He doesn't do the internet so I'm posting this for him. '86 Vanagon Westfalia. The mileage is over 100,000; I think about 112,000. Don't know why I don't have that in my notes. Pop top with good canvas. No fridge. Very little rust. Interior is pretty good except for the driver's seat which is worn. Needs work - he's been told that there is a possible low compression in one cylinder. He's also been told that it might have a clogged fuel injector. There is a piece of exhaust pipe that is rusted through but most of the exhaust system is good. The van starts but has been garaged for two years. There is no license or insurance. It needs a handbrake cable. The buyer would need to arrange delivery. The van is in Cleveland, Ohio. They'd rather not sell it but we're not mechanics and neither of us are in a position to put $$ into the van. Dad's asking $1800.00 obo. Please contact him directly at 216-321-6225. He does not have voice mail. Let the phone ring 8 or 10 times. They're usually home but it might take a while to get to the phone. Thanks, Dave '75 Lynx B Formula Vee |
