Hi, Tell your wife this: We just got rid of our LAST Volvo 240 wagon. We gave all three away. One - only a local Volvo nut recycler wanted. (Bad trans and engine harness - stopped running one day.) One went to Goodwill. (Rear end was going out after spending $500+ on engine, but it moved.) The last one, we paid off the loan and donated it to a local charity. (Bad trans, rear main seal, rotten exhaust, bad rear fuel pump...). My wife is very happy that we got rid of the last "albatross". You can put $1000 into a Volvo and sell it for $500. You can put $1000 into a Vanagon and sell it for $1000! Or, even better, part it out for $2000! ;-) Conrad >> Your plates are here. Of course, the van is not! We have ancient Volvos - even older than our van - and they are very rarely in the shop. |
