My Westy in Europe has double carbs on it. I think Solex. I had great mileage with it doing 300 miles on a tank of gas once. Much better than the "sophisticated" injection system I have here. It was set a little lean though. I think, it is a cheaper and simpler arrangement to have. Mine even had the old kind of mechanical fuel pump on. Nothing can go wrong, go wrong, go wrong... Zoltan
