Good point. We probably should spell everything out. That way there won't be any confusion.

How about... the clock stops when the van starts moving, however, it must be "steer-able" (i.e., I can drive it around the block)?

I there a lawyer in the house??? Just kidding.

If all it needs to do is move under its own power, why bother with the steering lock? Just pull the ignition connector, jumper it and drive it straight. And if it doesn't start, leave it in gear and move it with the starter motor. :>)
