Subject: Suspension differences and ride quality-early VS late model vans
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi all- I have recently aquired a 90 Vanagon- auto trans and all. I love it, but man this thing is a rough ride!!! I can feel every crack, expansion joint and paint line on the road!!! Up to this point, all the Vans I have owned were pre 85- the taller versions. These always rode nicely. This 90 is much shorter- does this affect the ride??? Or could I have shock issues? The shocks look fairly new- no markings on them, with red bodies. Could these be the dreaded Bilsteins??? What is the lists overall opinion on year vs ride and soft riding shocks??? TIA Brian
