Sorry for the off topic post. I know a lot of us cyber vanagon owners use eBay and Paypal so I thought this would be for the "greater good".

I want to pass on a warning about Papal e-mail fraud. I got an e-mail that looks like it was from PayPal, but the text of which is actually an image. When you click on it it takes you to what looks to be a spoofed Paypal site.

For you computer geeks it takes you to a URL that starts out: http://www.paypal.com.cgi-bin.webscr.cmd=ravform@ (then an IP address) The key is this @ symbol and the IP address, it basically tells your browser to ignore everything to the left and go to the IP address, so it LOOKS like you are going to Paypal but you are not.

I have already sent the original e-mail to PayPal and reported the potential fraud to customer service.

Be Careful! Chris
