Go out and get "How to Rebuild Your Volkswagen Air-Cooled Engine" by Tom Wilson. If you're not even sure how to drop the engine, remove the tin and so on get yourself the Haynes manual on air-cooled Vanagons. For $30 - $40 between the two books you'll have all the info necessary. --------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young '81 Vanagon Lafayette, CA 94549 '82 Westfalia --------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Casey" <celow@TEXOMA.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2003 8:29 AM Subject: 81 Westy Engine
