This past Saturday, I noticed a later style Vanagon parked at the back of the Ford dealership in Hyannis, Massholechusetts (Cape Cod). It's a tired looking passenger van with a forward facing center seat, steel wheels, and the factory plastic cladding. There's no apparent accident damage, but the body shows quite a bit of seam rust surfacing from beneath the white paint. It looks like it was sitting under a tree for a long time.

I'm guessing that this was a trade in that the dealer would love to get rid of. The requisite warranty sticker in the window means it's for sale. I was in a hurry when I stopped to look at the van, so I didn't get the name or number of the Ford dealership, but I'm sure it would be easy to unearth. Anyway, I thought I'd pass along what I do know, in case someone wants a cheap Vanagon that's likely going to be a project.
