Hi Andrew,

Those sure look like Toyo Color Finder files to me. I was fooled by a recent one too... had it cataloged as a Pantone (ProSim custom) spot color for a few years... Stan Wilder spotted my mistake.

If you look closely you will see that it is not a vector graphics structure; if observed under a high-resolution magnification, the bitmap pixels will be nonvector also.

I attach an image of my doutone (cc to list will strip it); it is an unusually high-resolution file. Measures about 600ppi, so it's a huge file size, too. I will have Ben Huot, a PostScript specialist, examine it when he's down in Stoughton for the Kodak ICC-compliance Conference in November. And if I'm right, it will be recataloged as an Amiga Interchange File! -- Jeffrey Earl McFarland, Wisconsin 555-4444 <jeffrey.earl@nodomain.mail.com> Linear gradient specialist Skate Sail, Macintosh & VW van nut _________________________ I want your Punk and Bloat filters!

"OK, I'll leave it at that since I've already gone on for far too long about something I don't know a whole lot about ..."
